Two Weeks To Go!
Wow! Time flies so fast. Yesterday, we set the date for me to be induced. We are going to plan on May 8th, her original due date. I can't believe it's almost time. This next week will be my last week at work. The other teachers on my team threw a baby shower for me and another teacher who is pregnant. We got lots of good stuff, including wipes, blankets, bibs, cute outfits, and Annabeth's first book of fairy-tales! I also got tons of great advice. I love the teachers on my team and will miss working with them.

Hairspray! Yikes!
Ok, someone please tell me that this looks like a giant, pink hairspray bottle! In addition to being choir director, teacher, choreographer, and sound technician, I am now also a set designer. Ah the joys of being a middle school teacher. Dad was nice enough to nail this cardboard box to a wooden post. Brent and I spray painted it this afternoon. Ok, Julie, so I know I'm no artist like you, but I think it looks pretty good for someone with limited abilities.

Almost There!
Just got back from the doctor today. Everything looks good. I was unaware that they like to schedule patients a week early for induction! I'm so not ready! I have some much to get done at school before I leave, including putting together the spring concert for the kids. The show choir is putting on a short production of "Hairspray" and the concert choir is singing "High School Musical." I used to like these musicals but now am so sick of the songs I could just puke! I cannot wait until the whole thing is over so I can leave for the school year. God bless the substitute that has to teach my classes!!!

Baby Shower Fun
Yesterday was Annabeth's baby shower. I wish I had pics to post but unfortunately, I forgot my camera so I've got to get copies from mom. Once again, I realized that I have wonderful friends and an amazing family. Everything was so nice and I felt so special! Grandma Rosie was so sweet to let us use her house. It was the perfect place to have the shower. I owe lots of thanks to her, my mom, my sisters, my sisters in law, and my best friend Holli. Thanks for making it such a special day for me. I will always remember it. This morning I woke up and washed all of the baby's new clothes. It is so strange to hold clothes that small! They look like doll clothes. I just can't get over it! Wow, it's all starting to feel a lot more real to us now. We can't wait!
