One night in the life of a new mom....

12:30 - Dog wakes mom up to go outside.

1:30 - Baby wakes up with wet diaper and soaked crib. Replace with new diaper and new bedding. Give baby bottle.

2:30 - Baby awake again. Pants off. Diaper off! Bottle empty. Baby smiling. Replace Diaper. Replace pants.

2:35 - Baby refuses to go back to sleep. Put baby in bed with mom and dad. Baby makes strange noises for half an hour before conking out.

3:00 - Mom now awake and can't go back to sleep.

7:00 - Baby awake! Mom makes bottle. Baby plays on floor while mom (exhausted from nightime adventures) falls asleep on the floor beside her.

7:30 - Mom wakes up to rattling sounds coming from the kitchen. Finds baby in dog food. Baby EATING dogfood! Mom freaks out, smacks her on the back to get it out. Mom puts dog food on counter. Baby cries.

8:00 - Mom can't wait until baby takes a nap and is seriously worried about the effects of dog food. And the day has only just begun!

oh, I've had those nights! I hope you get a nap! I found our baby in the cat food a couple of months ago and he seemed to be OK, so don't let the dog food keep you from getting some rest!

I just laughed when I read this, only because I can relate. Good luck. If you ever need me to watch your cute little one so you can catch up on rest or just do whatever please call. Austin always loves it when other kids come over.

Isn't it funny how they have absolutely no inhibitions of putting any and all things in their mouth? It doesn't last though so you won't have to endure it for long. If it's not fruit or cereal, Eden won't eat it.

I got worn out by just reading it, I can't imagine! I nominate you for the mother of the year award.
